Style, Celebrities, and Houston’s Finest: Shooting the 2018 Houston Gala

2018HOUGALA300-1 The Altus Foundation hosted its 17th annual gala Saturday evening at the Hilton Americas-Houston. ZT Corporate CEO Taseer Badar and Altus Foundation President Anil Motwani had guests entertained with performances from Cirque Berzerk, Divisi Strings, Taylor Thi and DJ Scoop while Atmsphere, a high-energy DJ duo who combine live violin into their performance, had the crowd dancing until well after midnight.


The black-tie affair was hosted by model, Tyra Banks. The actress dropped bars from her recent movie Life Size 2 when the evening’s entertainment was delayed. An Altus Foundation client shared his story with more than 1,000 guests. Gerardo Limon received financial assistance for medical care after an accident left him paralyzed, and a year after the surgery that saved his life and physical therapy, he walked across the stage and proposed to his girlfriend. She was in tears at the surprise, and said “yes.”2018HOUGALA-26 Auction items, including a Ferrari staycation and a luxurious escape in Bali, Badar presented a record $1 million check to the foundation’s president. The foundation provides assistance to individuals and families with healthcare services and scholarship programs. The city’s finest dripped and dazzled with sophistication.
