This year’s Printed Artworks Fashion show featured designer Blanca Vargas and artist and printmaker Anne Joëlle. The fashion show took place in The Printing Museum and was produced by model and director Ericka Lugnani.
The artistic collaboration between Blanca Vargas and Anne Joëlle featured Spring/Summer looks starting with a collection of swimwear, followed by the main collection consisting of primarily dresses and gowns. The designs of Blanca provided the perfect fashion canvas in the unofficial official color of fashion, black. On the other end, Anne’s designs and art provided the perfect complement by bringing the looks to life with vibrant colors and designs. Ornamenting and completing the designs as tops, sleeves, wraps, and bottoms, the synergy of the collaboration was very clear. Personally, I loved the juxtaposition of vibrant colors, with our beloved fashion color of black.
